OpenAI just announced the return of ChatGPT browsing, with the chatbot now gaining up-to-date access to information across the internet via integration with Bing search.

The details:

ChatGPT Plus and Enterprise users can enable web browsing, with the feature expanding to the free tier shortly.
The feature returns after being disabled months ago following the tool bypassing publisher paywalls.
With access to real-time data, the move greatly expands ChatGPT’s knowledge beyond its previously limiting 2021 training data cutoff.

ChatGPT can now speak, hear, see, and more. In other words, ChatGPT is officially multimodal and just got 10x easier to use! Here's everything you need to know:

Speak with ChatGPT: You can now use voice to engage in a back-and-forth conversation with your assistant. The hyper-realistic text-to-speech model allows you to choose from five different voices. On mobile, opt-in to voice in Settings → New Features on the mobile app.
Chat with images: ChatGPT's language reasoning skills can now understand images, photographs, screenshots, and documents containing text. You can also discuss multiple images or use their new drawing tool to guide your assistant
New text-to-speech model: The new voice capability is powered by a brand new text-to-speech model. OpenAI used Whisper and collaborated with professional voice actors to create each of five the voices.
Spotify collaboration: The new text-to-speech model is already being used in Spotify's Voice Translation feature pilot. AI-translated podcasts are coming to Spotify.
Over the next two weeks, voice and images will be available in ChatGPT to Plus and Enterprise users. Voice will also be coming to iOS and Android, and images will be available on all platforms.
